This opening ceremony of the academic year was also supported by Erasmus+, as part of the
Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence obtained by the
Research Institute in European, International and Comparative Law (IRDEIC) and the
European School of Law.
The ceremony was opened by
Corinne Mascala, president of Toulouse Capitole University. It continued with speeches from
Philippe Nelidoff, dean of the faculty of law;
Noël Chahid-Nouraï, president of the School’s Strategic Direction Council;
Marc Blanquet, public law professor and holder of the
Jean Monnet Chair; and
Lukas Rass-Masson, director of the ESL and public law professor.

At the end of the ceremony, the students at the top of their class threw their mortarboards into the air at the entrance of the Cujas lecture hall.
The event concluded with a laid-back buffet and chats among the laureates, their parents and friends along with faculty and university members.
